The Salvation Army was among the earliest Christian denominations to play a significant role in the development of formal education in Zimbabwe. From the colonial period onward, the church viewed education as an essential component of its evangelical and social mission, particularly among marginalized and rural communities. As a result, the Salvation Army established and continues to manage a wide network of educational institutions across the country. These include numerous primary schools strategically located in both urban and rural areas, aimed at improving access to basic education. In addition to primary education, the church also operates several secondary boarding schools, which provide structured academic instruction alongside moral and spiritual formation. These secondary institutions have contributed to the training of disciplined, well-rounded students and are summarized below.<\/p>\n
